Travel medicine
Before you plan a trip, we will give you professional advice and provide you with any necessary vaccinations on site. We will also inform you about all health risks against which no vaccination is available and how you can protect yourself against them. We are also happy to issue certificates confirming your fitness to travel and to visit the tropics.
General Internal Medicine
In the case of chronic diseases such as diabetes or high blood pressure, treatment in accordance with guidelines prevents early death or disability. Our work in the hospital means we are always up to date. If specialized examinations or imaging are necessary, we will be happy to refer you to the right place. We also carry out preventive examinations.
Tropical medicine
If you fall ill after returning from the tropics, we can initiate the correct diagnosis and treatment for you. However, if you develop a fever after a trip to the tropics, this can be a life-threatening emergency. Therefore, please immediately go to an emergency room experienced in the treatment of tropical diseases (AKH Vienna or Klinik Favoriten)!
Infectious diseases
The diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases is one of our core competencies. In our practice we also offer innovative approaches such as outpatient infusion therapy with antibiotics (APAT) to avoid hospital stays. Fever of unknown origin can also often be caused by infectious diseases and is clarified by us.

After graduating from Medical University of Vienna in 2014, I began my training at the 4th Medical Department with Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at the Klinik Favoriten (then still known as the Kaiser Franz Josef Hospital). In 2016, I was able to deepen my knowledge of tropical and travel medicine during a study visit to Mahidol University in Bangkok and obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H) there. Since 2021, I have been managing the travel medicine vaccination service at the Favoriten Clinic.

Already during my medical studies, I became interested in infectious diseases and I was able to enjoy my training as a specialist in internal medicine and infectious diseases at the renowned 4th Medical Department with infectious and tropical medicine at Klinik Favoriten.
After a detour to the intensive care unit during the COVID-19 pandemic, accompanied by research activities, I soon returned my focus to infectious diseases and tropical medicine. Activities in our infectious diseases consultation service, the infection outpatient clinic and travel medicine vaccination outpatient clinic led to a specialist degree in internal medicine and infectious diseasesand soon to management of the internal medicine normal bed ward as senior physician.
